Albourgh underlines its sustainability and cost efficiency with its own Casing Guarantee
Regrooving and retreading
All Albourgh tyres are made with the high-quality raw materials and technically most innovative processes. Partly due to 100% quality control, all tyres meet the highest quality requirements and therefore, at the end of the first life cycle, Albourgh tyres are suitable for regrooving as well as retreading; in short, they offer excellent value for money thanks to these different life cycles, they offer excellent value for money.
Albourgh casing guarantee
For transporters, environmental friendliness and sustainability pay off: carcasses suitable for retreading are bought up and non-usable carcasses are completely recycled so that the steel and rubber can be reused.
This has a significant, or financial, benefit for the haulier, as around 70 per cent of all tyres are 'put back on the road'. After all, the second use of the tyre always costs less than buying a new tyre. Thus, it directly contributes sustainably to improving the profitability and cost efficiency of any business. Furthermore, the tyre is reused via renewal, instead of 'ending up' somewhere in nature. In this way, too, Albourgh underlines its commitment to sustainability.
Cooperation with Kargro
Jeroen Vos, Business Unit Manager Albourgh TBR briefly explains the Albourgh Casing Guarantee:
"Our casing guarantee is twofold, firstly we guarantee that Albourgh quality tyres are suitable for retreading, not once but even twice. In addition, we also have a casing buy-back guarantee. If the tyres are completely worn out, then - provided the quality of the casing meets certain minimum requirements - they can qualify for the Albourgh casing guarantee.
The Albourgh carcasses are subject to a variable fee, depending on the size of the tyre, of up to €20. The knife cuts both ways as the user receives a residual fee and the environment is saved as the tyres are taken in for retreading or recycling and therefore do not end up in the fragile natural environment." For both the retreading process and taking in the carcasses, Albourgh works closely with Kargro, a qualified retreading/disposal company. Carcasses that are no longer usable are recycled after which they can be reused as raw materials - granulate and rubber powder. Kargro is TüV and ISO (9002) certified. Albourgh thus offers extended life for its tyres and ensures responsible disposal so that the environment is not unnecessarily burdened.
It fits seamlessly into Albourgh's philosophy:
Striving for a sustainable future. Where it takes into account not only the durability of the tyre and its impact on the environment, but also the full life cycle and associated costs.
